Marc Fontolliet is the new Head of Buildings at Gruner

Marc Fontolliet holds a Master's degree in architecture from EPFL in Lausanne. After graduating, he worked as a project and team leader at a renowned architectural firm in Zurich. He has gained wide-ranging expertise and many years of in-depth experience, especially in sustainable real estate returns, consulting, complex new constructions, comprehensive modernizations, and project management, through various management roles at international real estate and construction groups such as Losinger Marazzi and at Implenia as Head of Modernization for Switzerland & Zurich Region. "Marc Fontolliet has developed extensive expertise in architecture, construction, and general contracting companies. With his management experience, professional background, extensive strategic know-how, and his network in the building construction market, he will contribute significantly to the development of Gruner, especially its important Buildings Business Area," says Olivier Aebi, CEO of Gruner.

After transitioning leadership of the division, Stephan Gürtler will serve as the overall project manager for major projects and further enhance Gruner's general planning capabilities. There will also be a change in the CFO position: Christian Nolte will take over from Gérard de Montmollin, who will leave Gruner in spring 2024, at the beginning of 2024. Christian Nolte brings many years of experience from family-owned businesses and private equity-led companies. After starting his career as a consultant at Roland Berger and holding various positions within the KOSTAL Group, he has been active in Switzerland for over 12 years. He served as Director of Finance & Controlling at specialty chemicals company CABB and was responsible for Finance & Controlling, Human Resources, and IT as CFO of the INTEGRA Metering Group from 2019. Christian Nolte studied economics at the University of Witten/Herdecke. He is married and has three sons. As CFO, Christian Nolte will join the Executive Committee and lead the Business Service Center. "Christian Nolte brings a wealth of experience in strategy, transformation, internationalization, and growth. These are crucial areas for shaping Gruner's future," states Olivier Aebi.

Gérard de Montmollin is leaving Gruner after more than 20 years to pursue a new career path. "We warmly thank Gérard for his relentless and long-standing dedication to Gruner and wish him all the best for his future endeavors," concludes Olivier Aebi.
